Red-Suited Extras Start to Appear in Montepulciano for New Moon

Each one of them was clad in red. Hoods, robes, t-shirt, caps…everything was red! They couldn’t really say anyhing because the producers have told them that if they were caught they would be expelled from the set and nobody wants to lose the chance to be in the movie.

It’s said that this afternoon there was a little commotion and they think Robert Pattinson was there, but nobody would say that plainly. There are no pictures of him at the airport because he went out through a side exit allowed to the airport staff only.

Today the porsche crew finished working and, from what we understood, tomorrow Robert Pattinson himself will shoot some scene, maybe something related to Edward’s desperation before the Volturi’s verdict.

It won’t be Kristen Stewart to jump in the fountain but her stunt double, an Italian girl. Right now, Alan Cappelli, the stunt double for Robert Pattinson is waiting in his car to be called to set. We don’t know though what scene they’ll shoot.

According to TwilightItalia, the city of Montepulciano has officially announced a casting call for italian actors for "New Moon."


Shire from TwilightItalia.com writes:

"We'd like to inform you that the city of Montepulciano has officially issued the casting call for italian walk-on actors/actresses.
We were informed this morning directly by Mr. Diego Mancuso head of tourism office in Montepulciano."

Screenings for selection of walk-on parts are open the following days:

German TV show is looking for a Twilight Actress

Actor and producer Til Schweiger starts a new castingshow “Mission Hollywood” at 8th of june on RTL.
This wednesday the tv station informed us that they are in search for a new role in one of the sequels of Twilight.
Twelve ambitious female young talents are going to fight for a part in the movie. The show runs eight episodes.

The young women train with professional coaches e.g. film kisses, action stunts or dance moves, to re-enact scenes from blockbusters like Dirty Dancing or James Bond.
RTL also said that they are going to work with famous actors, oscar-winning make-up artists and well-known moviemakers.
During the casting they will have to fight for roles e.g. german tv series “Doctor’s Diary”, american tv series “Bones” or new music vid from Lady Gaga.

At the end of each episode Schweiger and jurors decide which candidate has to leave the show.
The 2nd juror is acting-coach Bernard Hiller, the 3rd juror changes in each episode. (e.g. Carmen Electra, Thomas Kretschmann,…)

Schweiger told us that he always wanted to found an acting academy. “Mission Hollywood” would be the first step towards this idea. He will be juror, presentator and director. But first of all, he sees himself as a mentor for the girls, who’s trying to teach them, to give them self-confidence and to be a caring guide. “

According to an interview from Market Saw, Brenna Lee Roth, the daugther of former Van Halen lead singer David Lee Roth has been casted for "New Moon." I took the liberty of checking her IMDB Page and she's uncredited roles for Spider-Man 3 , Zack and Miri Make a Porno and Adventureland.

When she was asked by Market Saw about "New Moon", she immediately said that she can't talk about it. Looks like the actors on board have a Non-disclosure agreement.

- Apparently, you are obsessed with Disney stars getting eaten by the Volturi or just getting eaten all together. “JaNuArYMoRNiNgXO” wrote, “I think the best one would be if the Jonas Brothers replaced the Cullen brothers, and they all went to Camp Rock and ate every other cookie-cutter Disney star out there.” Poor Demi Lovato! Oh, and laurenx33 wants Madonna to get eaten too.

New Moon Casting Complete, Paul Weitz to direct Eclipse?

According to Live-Pr.com, the casting director for New Moon, Joseph Middleton, has announced that "We are finished with the casting process". No details on the cast list has been released by Summit Entertainment. As for the rumors about Madonna, Vanessa Hudgens, AnnaLynne McCord, and Dakota Fanning joining the cast of "New Moon", there has been no official confirmation yet of any of them being hired.


And going to the director of Eclipse. It has been confirmed that Chris Weitz wont be directing Eclipse because he will still be in post production for New Moon while Eclipse starts shooting. However, the rumors that Drew Barrymore will be directing the third installment are false. Chris Weitz' brother and co-owner of "Depth of Field Productions", Paul Weitz will be directing Eclipse.

According to the Seven Secrets of New Moon revelead by OK! Magazine, looks like Ben Barnes won't be playing Aro in New Moon.



Despite speculation that British actor Ben Barnes, last seen as Prince Caspian in the Narnia movies, would play Aro, the sinister leader of the vampire world, his L.A.-based agent, Nick Reed, sets the record straight: "Although Ben has enjoyed much of the speculation, we haven't had any calls. Looks like every starlet in Hollywood wants to be part of the Twilight badnwagon. There were rumors that Vanessa Hudgens audtioned for New Moon and AnnaLynne McCord and Dakota Fanning confirmed that they are in negotiations with Summit Entertainment to be part of the New Moon cast.

So when you hear another rumor that Hilary Duff wants to be part of the sequel as well, its not a big surprise anymore.
According to Hollyscoop.com, the actress was heard backstage at Mercedes Benz Fashion week talking to Twilight star Peter Facinelli about how badly she wants the role. A source tells Hollyscoop exclusively, “Hilary told Peter how bad she wants to be in the next Twilight movie. Hilary said that she would want to be one of the vampires in the movie."

Annalynne McCord confirmed that she audtioned for 'New Moon'. But what many of us didn't know is that she was almost casted for the role of Rosalie Hale in Twilight.
Something that few Twilighters realize, however, is that the vampire-loving actress nearly played Nikki Reed's part in the original film. "They wanted me to play Rosalie," she recalled. "I met with the producers when 'Twilight' was casting, the original. I was on 'Nip/Tuck' at the time. And they were like, 'We'd love to have you in this little film we're doing called 'Twilight,' but the family only has small roles.' They were like, 'It shoots in Oregon, so you probably couldn't do it anyway.' And I was like, 'If it shot [in L.A.] that would be cool."

Casting Call For ‘Twilight’ Sequel ‘turns into American Idol

Hundreds of teenagers lined up outside the Second Avenue Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada for the casting call for New Moon, the sequel to last year’s blockbuster Twilight. Some people flew in from as far as Florida and Seattle and some began lining up as early as 5 a.m. at Second Avenue Studios in Vancouver’s Main Street area.
Casting assistants had to tell the crowd at 12:30 p.m. that no more people would be allowed in the building. The crowd turned ugly quickly with tears, tantrums, and accusations of cutting in line.

According to Bim Narine, a casting assistant at Vancouver’s Aikins/Cossey, “This is more than we expected. It’s definitely a good turnout.”

According to E! Online's Marc Malkin, 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord is being considered for the role of Heidi, the stunning vampire who who uses hereself as a bait to bring humans to the Volturi vampires to eat. It's a really small part but essential in the book because it shows how "Royal" the Volturi's are.

'New Moon' Open Casting Calls In Phoenix, Arizona

New Moon Casting Director for Native Americans, Rene Haynes, is holding auditions to find Native American teens. She is seeking young men 15 to 20 years of age, and young women between the ages of 18 to 20, for speaking roles in the upcoming Twilight sequel, New Moon. The auditions will be held at the Phoenix Indian Center.

No acting experience is necessary, just an out-going enthusiasm and the desire to be a positive role model for other Native Youth.

Please do not call the Phoenix Indian Center. Casting calls can take time - please be prepared to wait if necessary.
